The scientific and innovative work of the university is aimed at the development of fundamental and applied research, the creation of high-tech products, meeting the needs of modern production and society. Zhezkazgan University systematically conducts research in the following areas: the study of environmental problems in the region, the introduction of new technologies into production, ethnocultural, ethnopedagogical and historical-cultural development, socio-economic and legal problems, and many others.

The University has a developed infrastructure and a modern material and technical base. Nonresident students are provided with a comfortable dormitory, classrooms and laboratories are equipped.

Our students actively participate in republican student Olympiads, competitions, and conferences.

The university has adopted the concept of educational work. To implement the concept, activities are carried out in the following areas: socio-legal and political education of students, patriotic and international education, cultural and aesthetic development, as well as ethno-cultural education of students. Work is being carried out with students in the hostel, activities are being carried out to promote a healthy lifestyle, the development of various sports.

A lot of work is being done at our university on the social protection of students. A stable system of social support for students has been built, funds are allocated for personal scholarships and additional grants for training, funds are also allocated for holding mass sports and cultural events.
